#46 "a choreography for the head"

This is a work created in a project about the relation between humans and computers. I am researching to what extend we are being influenced or controlled by computers in our lives and how I can show this relation between a person and a computer on a stage.

I wrote a computer program called “Labanhead”, which generates scores for choreographies for the head. During the performance, my printer makes a live continuous print of a score while I perform the choreography, reading the score while it passes by. The printer and I stand opposite to each other, suggesting a dialogue.

The question is who is controlling who, because I obey a program that generates something I cannot predict, but I did write the program myself.
